Granada performance of Dance me at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla, within the Música=Ahora series
On May 25, 2025, Mario Carro’s Dance me for marimba and string quartet was performed at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla in Granada, within the concert series Música=Ahora.
The interpretation was entrusted to the Grupo Fusión of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, featuring David Lyons (marimba and vibraphone), Elvira López Sobaler (violin), Mariela Comesaña (violin), Donald Lyons (viola), and José Ignacio Perbech (cello).
The program also included works by Hermes Luaces, Andy Akiho, Arvo Pärt, and Caroline Shaw, offering a wide-ranging exploration of contemporary repertoire that underscored the vitality and richness of today’s musical landscape.
