World premiere of Olas Transparentes for solo marimba, performed by Pablo Mor at the Resonances Marimba Festival in Bamberg
On April 26, 2025, the world premiere of Mario Carro’s Olas Transparentes, a work for solo marimba inspired by a beautiful poem by the admired Galician writer Rosalía de Castro, took place at the Resonances Marimba Festival in Bamberg.
The piece was performed by the young and virtuosic marimbist Pablo Mor, whose brilliant interpretation highlighted both the expressive depth of the score and his remarkable artistry.
The program was completed with works by Hermes Luaces and Alejandro Viñao, creating a dialogue between diverse contemporary voices for the marimba.
